Today, Google unveiled Living Stories, created in partnership with the NY Times and the Washington Post. You can find it at http://livingstories.googlelabs.com/.

After the fuss over News Corp. pulling its stories from Google search or at least seriously restricting them, we see what the folks at Google have been up to. Several stories are shown from the latest paper, but clicking the URL for the story headline takes you to a generated page that pulls content from the paper and presents it in a logical format.

It's a big step beyond Google News, which now looks like a search engine that's limited to news rather than an innovative way of presenting news.

Living Stories is worth a look. It's the most innovative news presentation for a long time.
